Entrust your needs to a recognised, leading insurance company.
Negotiate a competitive rate or rely on your freight company’s bargaining power.
Read the small print! Always check for restrictions on specific goods or destinations that pose a risk, and make sure you get door-to-door cover.
Ask your supplier to seal packages with personalised tape to prevent tampering, which is easy to conceal when neutral tape is used to seal packages.
Together with your supplier, decide on robust packaging that is suited to the various handling procedures that packages undergo during air and sea transit. Have your goods film-wrapped to give them the greatest possible protection.
Never write the contents of the shipment on the outside of the package, particularly if the goods are enticing.
